Wow! Wow! And Wow! So much genuinely phenomenal art! I could see how one would go to the Louvre every single time they found themselves in Paris.

Le Louvre is effectively three galleries/ museums in one as each wing is a museum / gallery in its own right.
I had planned the key things I wanted to see in advance and knew where they were which definitely helped and still left time for just wandering too.
There are free lockers and the cafes aren't too expensive.

Housing approxinamtely 38,000 pieces from ancient civilizations to modern times, the vast museum is currently regarded as the largest art museum in the world. It is also currently the most visited globally, recording almost 10 million visitors in 2019 alone.
We have spent 2 days going around it and still was not able to see it all. See the Mona Lisa (it’s small!), Venus de Milo, and many other pieces from Greece, Italy, Egypt, Northern Europe, and France.
