On my first visit, I used Rick Steve's (outdated) audio tour, which takes one on a whirlwind, overview tour of an enormous museum. Other than the occasional frustration with the location inaccuracies, it was a superb introduction. On my most recent visit, I planned on four hours focused on just one section of the museum. This worked quite well. Now, I only have to visit about 20 more times to do the museum any real justice.
Always in my venue in Paris I go to the Pyramids for a full immersion in the culture of all over the word. Unforgettable !
The nicest and best I have seen very well kept up. The amount of exibits and informative presence is incredible
