A trip to Paris would be incomplete without a trip to the Louvre. It was a proud parental moment when our 9 year old said he thought looking at a bunch of old art might be boring but that it wasn’t because all the art had stories! I think it was just the right time for his visit. We very much enjoyed our experience. In line the couple in front of us w ere teachers from the US and said they stay close-by and spend a week at the Louvre taking it all in. That is now penciled in my bucket list. There was just so much to see in one visit! The lockers under the pyramid were very nice to store things qlso. Much appreciated!
It is truly the most wonderful museum in the world! Lots of things to see. I visited in early September and the museum is not crowded at all. I was able to stand and look at paintings. Their audio tour was also great - the Nintendo device is available in many language and can automatically locate you. I suggest you visit twice - 4-5 hours for each trip to see everything
Maybe it is not a good idea to go to Paris during autumn school break…Louvre was pretty full, Mona Lisa wait was 10 mins, thanks god we had a private tour, no line in front of the museum and a special treatment… can only recommend (yes it is much more expensive but worth it).
