We had a better time than expected I believe due to the following , # Have a plan or else it’s overwhelming. We used the Rick Steves app and it was good. Got to see a lot of major things in an organized way with minimal frustration. # Order tickets ahead of time. They will let you in 30 minutes before your ticketed time. We did not get in early but we did get in on time # Don’t plan on eating on site. We could not get a table so we ate outside the museum and had a wonderful lunch
The Louvre is just a place you have to visit when in Paris. You can't see it all in one visit so see your favorites (Vermeer, Italian Renaissance) and try a new section next time. For this visit, the room with jewels was open and they were gorgeous.
Get a guide. It's worth it. So many things to see. Spend at least 3 hours if possible. Take lots of pictures. Take your time and explore
