there's always a long wait, but overall good experience. My boyfriend and I did a quick tour, we would like to be back !
Every time we go to Paris we stop by the Louvre. There is such variety of first rate art and artifacts from many civilizations spanning over milenia that you really don't want to try to see everything. Best to avoid the obvious hits (e.g. MOna Lisa) and explore all of the other masterpieces.
Quite an interesting place and a must see for art lovers. the museum is larger than I expected and has so many exhibition areas that a full day trip might be needed, if one wants to visit the whole place.
