I wasn't into Mona Lisa til I actually saw it. Don't get stuck in the basement trying to find your way out. Figure it out before you head down because it's crazy huge and easy to get lost.
The Louvre is just a place you have to visit when in Paris. You can't see it all in one visit so see your favorites (Vermeer, Italian Renaissance) and try a new section next time. For this visit, the room with jewels was open and they were gorgeous.
Lots of very excellent displays. The museum is well organized with excellent crowd management at entry.
