Got a chance to tour the Louvre. It is very congested inside. The line to see the Mona Lisa was long 1 - 2 hours. But it is worth it. Tourists are very rude in line. Be prepared to make sure you don't get passed. The Mona Lisa is not as large as might be expected. It is only about 10 x 14 inches. Because of the history and the artist , you must see it.
Too difficult to see on your own as just too large and confusing to get around, but great and will see more and learn more about the art.
Spent over 3 hours.... saw the Mona Lisa again. We so badly wanted to see more but its a lot of walking....
