This is one of the best museums I have been to in the world. Not only is the architecture amazing but the exhibits are spectacular! What an opportunity to see so many of the old masters in one place. I was unaware that they often had special exhibits and so had not booked the Da Vinci exhibition. My biggest regret!!! it was completely sold out. Make sure you check well in advance of when you will be attending the Louvre.
One of the greatest museums in the world. It's huge and wort a visit. If you are pressed for time, head over to de'Orsay Museum, across the river.
I'm not an "artsy person". That being said I enjoyed my 4 hours there. It's so much to see! i thought i could quickly walk through the halls, but something would catch my eye and I'd take my time to examine. You could go 3 days and still not see everything.
