It's big with a lot of rooms to see and get to know the history behind. You can easily spend a whole day and not see it all, so tip is research on the areas you are interested and wish to see and visit first. They have lockers where you can drop your belongings but wouldn't recommend leave values. There are coffees inside but the queues are long and assume not cheap.

the louvre is a very full day out there is boundless amounts of things to see even if the levels are split into sub levels and it is very easy to loose track and get a bit lost .very good value for money.
