Amazing paintings and art to see here, and even the museum itself is beautiful and full of great architectural details. You could definitely spend forever in this museum, as there's just so much to see, but I recommend doing some research and trying to figure out what you would like to see before you get there and making a plan so you're not always lost, wandering, or aimlessly looking for some key piece. For instance, I tried to make a chronological plan and look at key pieces along the way for a tour that lasted around 3 hours.
The Louvre was majestic ! A once in a lifetime experience of culture and art you will never get a chance to see anywhere else! Bring some comfortable shoes you will do a lot of walking as there is a lot too see and it is very expanse! another item off the bucket list!
I had read that the louvre was large. I grossly underestimated the size. I felt like I was in an MC Escher painting. Up stairs down stairs... swear I walked in circles!
